Mizzy Raw

Introducing Mizzy Raw: A talented lyricist with raw talent that was cultivated by years of musical exposure. Mizzy was born and raised in West Philadelphia and ultimately where his love for music began. He offers a multifaceted approach to his style incorporating his honeyed voice, unmistakable lyrical identity, and his ability to merge classic and modern musical styles. 

Mizzy worked tirelessly within his communities to pursue his love of music and refused to relinquish that drive and love. He lost his grandmother, one of the originators in finding his love for music, and only six months later a tragic accident occurred that left Mizzy with a bullet lodged in his spine for life leaving him paralyzed. Realizing how truly fleeting life can be, he dove head first back into music and could not be held down. His hard work lead him to opportunities including opening up for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Chance The Rapper, and Mac Miller. In 2016 his hit record “Free” was released, along with “Raise Your Weapon”, dedicated to his Nana, and now has a fanbase across the globe.

In 2020, Mizzy lost his mother during the pandemic and was blinded by grief. He wrote through his pain and transformed it into the art that he gives us today. His songs radiate the foundations of human emotion and truly take you on the ride with him. Mizzy Raw continues to persevere through everything life throws at him and will not yield.
