Ty Honcho

Today we had a rare opportunity to catch up with rising Hip Hop/Rap artist sensation Ty Honcho! We talked about her career and what it feels like to be next up in the future of the rap game.

Versatile, melodic, thought-provoking, fun, catchy, and vibes are the best way to describe the music of the talented Ty Honcho. Born in Brooklyn and currently based in the Bronx Ty has been in love with music her whole life

Branching off in the music world on her own only three years ago, she started off young playing the trumpet until high school which allowed her to develop her ear for music. This allowed her to listen to a beat and guide her to open up a different world.

“Definitely self-taught, as a kid use to write poetry. I use to love to write period, It was one of my ways of communicating my thoughts and things I was feeling,” she said.

Dropping her lasted project  “Calm Before the Storm” has been one of the biggest highlights of her career along with 2 other singles she released not too long ago. Not afraid to stand out or fit a challenge the most important aspect of her work is its authenticity.

“This particular project is me introduce the world to Ty honcho kind of like my introduction to the world, letting them know that I’m here and I’m just getting started,” she stated.

She likes to reach people and send a message that’s going to create some critical thinking. She believes this project will show her fans a special side of her and what she has to give to them which is her passion for it. She is currently working on shooting a video for the song titled “On Go” off the project and also has some new music coming soon.

“Never be afraid of who you were born to be. I want that message to translate through my songs. I want that message to translate through my songs.”
