Mir The Artist

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mir the Artist began his journey with music at a young age. Growing up in a musically inclined family, he gained inspiration and a love for music through witnessing his grandparents travel the world playing in jazz bands and countless days spent listening to 50 Cent with his parents. Blending bumping beats with well-crafted rhymes and melodic hooks, he is known for his unique vibe that sets him apart from the mainstream.

In 2017, Mir was inspired to begin freestyling, experimenting with creating original tracks on his laptop. As he gained encouragement and admiration from his friends, he stepped into the studio to begin the next steps of recording, releasing, and distributing his music. Feeling at home in the studio, he spent many sleepless nights passionately perfecting his craft and attempting to write the “perfect” song that would go viral. Since then, he has shifted his focus to creating music that will span the test of time and inspire generations. He began to gain a steady following, and in 2021 he dropped his hit single “Gas” which racked up tens of thousands of views upon its release. His distinct style, combining trap and drill elements with international sounds and clever wordplay, draws in listeners. He’s had shows all over, mainly in the Philly area, but Atlanta is his favorite place to perform due to the unique vibe and appreciation for the craft.

As he continued creating music, Mir obtained his degree which elevated his production and promotion immensely. He also gained a better understanding of the marketing that is necessary to create songs that leave a lasting impression on the audience, and the importance of social media in the industry. More than just a degree to him, Mir believes in the value of getting an education, something he is proud of since where he’s from, not many people do. Growing up in Philly was not always easy, and Mir experienced the dangerous effects of the streets. Losing several friends and his father to gun violence, he wants his fans to know that he too has struggled, and he is living proof that there is a different way out. Mir’s favorite song to perform is FP365, a tribute to his close friend Hez who lost his life in 2020.

Mir the Artist’s message to his listeners is one of hope and determination. No matter your background, no matter where you come from, and no matter the circumstances, never give up on your dreams. His goal is to spread his music worldwide, uniting people together through a common love for music.
