B. Me The Diamond Diva recently dropped a dope new album titled, THE GOLDEN AGE. The project was released as a 24th birthday gift to herself on October 23, 2020. The entire compilation of The Golden Age is an artwork that refuses to be humble. On it, B. Me raps about her extreme drive and push to achieve greatness.
Coming from poverty, B. Me, also known by her alter-ego, Britne Moniq, always dreamed of bigger things. As the artist, B. Me the Diamond Diva, she is expanding her reach far beyond her home-base in Greenville, SC. With a unique blend of pop-rap and southern hip-hop, B. Me incorporates trap beats with a less-aggressive lyrical rap style. Her words often feature excessive slang giving her music a savage, masculine-meets-feminine attitude with a twist of pop and class. B. Me flows hard, spitting out rhythmic vocals that bump. Confident and bold, she is an animated entertainer consistently delivering high-energy performances.
B. Me is short for “Bodaciously Me,” where the term “Bodacious” is an appropriate definition describing B. Me as prodigious, admirable, attractive, and excellent. A hard-working, independent woman, she is raising the bar for greatness. Her vast vocabulary is truly impressive. B. Me lays down bars unheard of in common rap lyrics. She takes the time to write, critique, and revise her music in each song, allowing her words to unfold from a catchy hook.
Growing up, B. Me was seen as an inspiration to the women around her. Her perseverance and work ethic set her apart, and she maintained strong motivation toward her goals even in the face of adversity. With a story to tell, she began sharing that energy with others through her music. A self-taught creator, she started taking music more seriously in March of 2019. With the guidance of music mentors, her passion grew from hobby into profession.
The greatest influences on B. Me’s style come from artists like Ciara and Cardi B. With gracious mannerisms, B. Me aspires to have a similar poise, drawing from the positive, spiritual, and humble image Ciara portrays. Looking at Cardi B has helped B. Me adapt her voice, taking an outspoken approach, and making things happen. She admires Cardi B for her confidence, underestimated intelligence, and constant need to speak on issues both personal and worldwide.
In the short time she’s been making music professionally, B. Me has made great strides toward success as an artist. Her first song, “PROJECTION,” was released in August of 2018, however, it wasn’t until February of 2019 when B. Me began pushing her career forward in the pursuit of her first big project. After just a few months of focusing on her goals as an artist, she immediately saw her accomplishments come to fruition. B. Me released her first album after just four months. Audiences loved the meaningful message she delivered in her work, and it resonated strongly with a growing fanbase. She continues to build a following with her excessively creative music videos. After its release, the video for B. Me’s hit song, “BLING,” gained thousands of views weekly, quickly skyrocketing to over 10k views. Longing for a luxurious lifestyle, songs like, “BLING,” give off an elevated level of sassy confidence as B. Me hustles to treat herself to the finer things in life. The vibes of “PunisHER” are instead more triumphant and legendary, with another video showcasing B. Me’s trendy style.
Never the type to ride the wave of violence or explicitly expose herself, B. Me channels personal experience into her work, allowing herself to embrace a hard energy in her music. Purpose-driven, she is more than just an inspiration to men and women, but a statement. B. Me has what it takes to become a pop-culture icon. She shares an original vision for creativity, portraying alluring imagery in her videos that resonate strongly with fans. The vibrant colorful music videos she makes are by far the most impressive aspect of her work. In her videos, B. Me is animated with wide-eyes and an attitude heavily displayed through her facial expressions. She executes a “diva” personality with lavish fashion-sense and flair. B. Me is truly different, with an emphasis on perfect delivery.
True to herself, B. Me represents the importance of self-love, perseverance, and hard work. While her previous album was more modest, this latest release is a smack in the face. The Golden Age is a challenge to the haters and betrayers. B. Me is persistent, continuously overcoming setbacks on her journey to stardom. Making music is what she was intended to do and fans eagerly await her next project. Her second edition of “Last Laugh” and a new music video is set to drop on January 1st, setting the new year off right. Filming took place in Miami Beach, FL by Love and Hip Hop’s @FlicksByEdd
B. Me creates music in response to anyone who doubted her or bullied her back in the day. She eliminates all distractions that don’t benefit her ambition and fierce hustle. Embodying a bodacious swagger, B. Me is building an empire and showing the world that it’s okay to be “cocky” when you can back it up with success.
